Jill Kaplan
Harvey A. Peltz Young Leadership Award
Jill Kaplan grew up in Newton, MA. Her volunteer work began at the Boston Federation and in 1999 she met her husband Mitchell on the Federation led trip to Prague, Budapest and Kiev. She moved to Stamford in 2001 and has been an engaged volunteer ever since! Jill has Chaired Super Sunday twice and has sat on the Women’s Philanthropy Board for the past three years. In addition, she Chaired the 2014 Women’s Philanthropy Dinner with Dr. Ruth Westheimer and joined the Stamford Federation Cuba mission. Jill is a member of the UJF Lion of Judah group.
In addition to her work with UJF, Jill is very active in the Stamford community. She has worked tirelessly to launch 3 Square with Robin Madan. Her 3 Square work brings her to the UJF offices on a weekly basis organizing food bundles for local food insecure children. She also volunteers her time with the Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Center fundraising committee and is the Co-President of Bi-Cultural Day School.
Jill lives in Stamford with her husband Mitchell, her children Jaye, a student at Bi-Cultural Day School, and Ethan who attends Eagle Hill School and a beautiful cat named Penny. Her mother-in-law, Dena Kaplan, is a longtime Stamford resident who is active in the Women’s Philanthropy and is also a Lion of Judah. We wish Jill a sincere mazal tov on her well-deserved honor!
